Two weeks ago, on the 30th of May 2015, we were privileged enough to be a part of the Restoration experience 2014 Ladies Luncheon. It was a wonderfully planned event with food, drinks, pampering, and best of all, the company of a group of amazingly ambitious and inspiring women. There were few, but fabulous vendors on site, including bridal couture by Carla’s bridal boutique, Maya’s Salon and spa and another lovely luxury natural skincare line, Keyara Organics.
AJANI Handmade was on site. vending and displaying our products. We are so grateful for all the love and support that we received on the day!
Cocktails were flowing and the day was filled with laughter and a laid back atmosphere that made for what was the start to a perfect weekend. The day’s agenda began with an informal walkabout to the different vendor stands, servings of hors d’ oeuvres and cocktails, and hand and foot massages courtesy of a collaboration by AJANI Handmade and Maya’s Salon and Spa; this went on for what was pretty much the entire afternoon.
A lovely lunch was served at 1.00 pm followed by a sit down that kicked off with the “Her Story” talk series where a few select ladies, including our founder, Ms. Sharon Njavika were honoured to speak about their stories of empowerment in their respective fields of passion. Also on the panel of speakers was Rose Ntong’ondu of Make up by Rose and Elsie Wandera, founder and proprietor of My heart Scripted.
There were a few tears (of joy) shed, laughter, giggles, hugs, giveaways and an all round uplifting and empowering afternoon. All the guests got a chance to introduce themselves, and naturally the networking opportunities unfolded. The talks ended with an uplifting word from the Restoration Experience founder and director, Ms. Barbara Okeyo.
We wrapped up with a wine pairing masterclass with a sommelier. The day was a round up of a truly restoring experience. Check out the Restoration Experience Africa Website and be sure not to miss next year’s event!
Peace and Love! x
